Preparatory Students eligible for taking Freshmen courses


*Note: Student can register MATH101, MATH105 or MATH106 course only after completion of preparatory MATH002 course.

i) New Preparatory Students:

  • All new preparatory year students will be given preparatory courses by the Office of the University Registrar.
  • If the total credit hours are < 11, then the students can apply to register freshmen courses* such that, total registered hours for both preparatory and freshmen should be ≤ 13 credit hours.

ii) Continuing Preparatory Students:

  • All continuing preparatory year students will be given preparatory courses by The Office of the University Registrar.

Student with Cumulative GPA ≥ 3 :

  • If the total credit hours are ≤ 13, then the student can register freshmen courses* thru KFUPM Portal, such that the total registered hours for both preparatory and freshmen should be ≤ 15 credit hours. (Only one course can be taken from IAS department).

Student with Cumulative GPA < 3 :

  • If the total credit hours are ≤ 8, then the student can register freshmen courses* thru KFUPM Portal such that, total registered hours for both preparatory and freshmen should be ≤ 10 credit hours. (Only one course can be taken from IAS department).
