Due to current novel coronavirus situation, the withdrawal deadline for dropping one or more courses has been extended until Monday, 27th April 2020. Withdrawal from one or more courses will be allowed while maintaining the minimum loads as follows:

• Minimum load for undergraduate students is 12 credits.
• Minimum load for full-time Graduate students is 6 credit hours, and 3 credit hours for Part-time students.
• Preparatory students can withdraw from freshman courses only and are not allowed to withdraw from prep-year course.

Q2) Can I withdraw from one or more course(s) at this time? Ans) Yes, you can withdraw from one or more course(s) until Monday, 27th April 2020.
Q3) Do I need to bring Clearance form for withdrawal from all courses?
Ans) Due to current novel coronavirus situation, it is not required to bring Clearance form.

Ans) No, there is no withdrawal from all courses with WP/WF grades in this term.
Q5) I am an undergraduate sponsored student from Aramco, SABIC or Ministry of Defense; how can I withdraw from course(s)?
Ans) You can withdraw from one or more course(s) by sending the withdrawal request email from your KFUPM email address to registrar@kfupm.edu.sa. However to withdraw from all courses, you will need an approval email from the Deanship of Student Affairs along with the request to withdraw from course(s) sent to registrar@kfupm.edu.sa.
Q6) I am an undergraduate student, can I drop course(s) below 12 Credits?
Ans) No, You are not allowed to drop less than 12 credits at this time and no academic petition can be used for this purpose.
Q7) I am an undergraduate student, How can I drop the whole semester?
Ans) You can drop the semester (withdraw from all courses) by submitting request through KFUPM portal. The steps for submitting course withdrawal request is provided on our website (Steps for submitting course withdraw request thru Portal). No clearance form is required for withdrawal from all courses in this term.
Q8) Can I withdraw a course which is co-requisite of other course?
Ans) No, You cannot withdraw a course which is co-requisite of other course. For example, if you are registered in MATH 101 & PHYS 101 courses in this term, you cannot withdraw from MATH 101 only, as it is a co-requisite of PHYS 101. However, you can still withdraw from PHYS 101 only.

Graduate Students:

Q3) I am a full-time graduate student; what is the minimum load for this term?
Ans) For the current term, the minimum load for full-time graduate students is 6 credit hours.

Preparatory Students:

Q1) I am a prep year student; how can I withdraw from freshman course(s)? Ans) You can withdraw from freshman course(s) by sending the withdrawal request email from your KFUPM email address to registrar@kfupm.edu.sa
Q2) I am a prep-year student, can I withdraw from all prep courses? Ans) No, as per university policy you will not be able to withdraw from all preparatory courses.

Continuing Education Students:

Q1) I am a Continuing Education student; how can I withdraw from course(s)? Ans) You can withdraw from one or more course(s) by sending the withdrawal request email to registrar@kfupm.edu.sa (Note: A copy of your civil ID and KFUPM ID need to be attached).
Q2) Is there a period for Withdrawal from all courses with WP/WF grades in this term? Ans) No, there is no withdrawal from all courses with WP/WF grades in this term.
